Top 5 Photo and Video Apps on iOS in Latin America, Q3 2021

In the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 photo and video applications on iOS in Latin America showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the weekly trends for each app.

Instagram saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 439K in mid-August. However, its weekly revenue experienced a decline, starting at approximately $18.3K in early August and dropping to about $7.8K by the end of September. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 24M throughout the quarter.

YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream maintained strong weekly revenue, reaching a high of approximately $606K in late September. Weekly downloads peaked at around 415K in mid-August, while active users remained consistent, hovering around 67M to 68M.

Kwai - Video Social Network experienced a decline in both weekly downloads and active users. Downloads dropped from around 369K in early July to about 84K by the end of September. Active users also saw a decrease, starting at approximately 2.6M in early July and falling to around 1.8M by the end of the quarter. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at about $3.3K in early August.

Google Photos: Backup & Edit showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $67K by mid-September. Downloads remained stable, peaking at around 141K in mid-September, while active users saw a slight increase, moving from around 2.4M in early July to approximately 2.5M by the end of September.

CapCut - Video Editor had a consistent performance in terms of weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from around 97K to 140K throughout the quarter. Active users also showed a gradual increase, peaking at approximately 920K in early September.
